Scribd adds 5m users

@Scribd, the website enabling customers to publish and share written works has added 5m users on Facebook in the last month. Good for them.

I have not been able to determine what is responsible for the upswing, but would hazard a guess that an update to their iPhone app in March is responsible for this.

Dropbox now a Facebook app

@Dropbox is now a Facebook app as well. 175k users signed up in a day. Look at the daily active user stats below:

This is from a Dropbox tweet a few days ago:

Very interesting development. I think if this functionality remains live, then I would not be surprised to see the Dropbox app have millions of users very very rapidly.

Am I wrong about why Dropbox suddenly has so many more daily active users? Would be interested in your comments.

Identified adds 1 million users in a week

@Identified has added one million users in a week. And 2.5m in a month, very impressive:

I haven’t had a look at the product before, but the pitch is somewhat different from how they present themselves on Twitter and Crunchbase, so I assume they tweaked this somewhat. Right now it is certainly crystal clear:

Was the pitch always like this? Or is this a more recent change?

Well done Identified.

UberSocial grows on Facebook

@UberSoc has been growing strongly on Facebook lately. The app is the brainchild of Bill Gross’s IdeaLab. They had previously acquired various Twitter clients and also attempted to buy Tweetdeck (which was prevented by Twitter itself who bought them instead). Here are the Facebook stats:

They seem to have changed something around March 16th. If I had to take a wild guess (I am) then I would say that UberSocial may now be integrating with Chime.in (another product by Uber Media, the company that owns UberSocial).

I think this may be driving more people into the app every day. If you have additional insight, please leave that in the comments.

Well done UberSocial.

Pose.com changes gears

@Pose has recently seen a significant boost of daily active users on Facebook.

The increase in DAU seems to be stabilising at a higher level, but the DAU/MAU percentage is dropping. Somehow Pose is acquiring more first time visitors and some of them are sticking.

I have had a look and have to admit that I have no idea what they changed or what is responsible for this, any insight would be welcome.

Klout is very engaging

@Klout is not only growing fast, they also have a very high percentage of Daily Active Users versus Monthly Active Users.

Over 90% of monthly actives are also on this daily? Impressive. Well done Klout.

Obama boosts Change.org

@Change has seen a substantial increase in its Facebook app daily and monthly uniques in the last few days.

I think this is down to the Trayvon Martin shooting, which got mentioned by President Obama recently. The petition relating to this incident is featured on the Change.org website and 2 million people have signed the petition.

HeyTell explodes onto Facebook

@HeyTell is up from less than 10k users to 220k users. In one week. Not bad.

HeyTell put a new version of its iPhone app into the App Store on March 14th. Whatever they changed, it probably contributed to the uplift in traffic. Any insight from anybody as to what the change was?

Well done HeyTell.

Why Zynga bought OMGPOP

@Zynga bought @OMGPOP recently. In case you were wondering why, consider the fact that OMGPOP’s game ‘Draw Something’ is the fastest growing app with more than 10 million users on Facebook:

Well done OMGPOP.
